About Me

Ankur Pathan, Choreographer and Creative Director, began his professional journey in 1992 performing for folk group dances. Ambitious and focused, he easily transitioned from the role of dancer to a choreographer and soon gained widespread success for his impeccable choreography.

Graceful, Precise and Fluid – Ankur Pathan’s choreography settles in the dichotomies. He feels dance is a medium that reflects human emotion, and aims to create experiences that spectators understand, and relate to. Today, his creative skills and versatility facilitate him to produce and design diverse Road shows, Multimedia spectacles, Stage performances, Cinematic songs, Fusion dance and Music performances.

Ankur has been fortunate to perform and work extensively on not just his home ground, but also international grounds. Awards and accolades soon came following when his sense of individuality towards dance came to the limelight. From the Asia Book of Records to Guinness world records – there have been no dearth of recognitions. He was bestowed with USTAD BISMILLAH KHAN YUVA KALAKAR PURASKAR’, a National Award by Sangeet- Natak Academy (Delhi), under the folk art category.

From tours and music videos, Ankur Pathan built relationships in the dance community and moved beyond choreography for film and television. He has had the pleasure of coordinating and choreographing some of the most prominent International Delegate visits to India. These include:
– President of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping visit to India (2014).
– Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe visit to India (2017).
– Namaste Trump red carpet welcoming, Road Show and Stadium dance performance (Former President of United States of America, Donald Trump visit to India – Ahmedabad – 2020).

He has also had the privilege of presenting his competent skills in Art and Culture, to the Honorable President of India, Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister, and various Dignitaries on various occasions.
– Coordinated Gujarat Anthem Song, composed and sung by Music Maestro AR Rahman, in the year 2010.
– Conducted 3D Holographic shows of former Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi, across Gujarat state, for state election campaign 2012. And later on, in the year 2014 for Lok Sabha Election Campaign, Narendra Modi as a favorable Prime Minister Candidate of India.

Throughout the decade, Choreographed and designed various Dance and Cultural performances at the state and national level showcasing our rich and diverse Indian Culture. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Swarnim Gujarat celebrations, Vibrant Gujarat Navratri Festival, Khel Maha Kumbh, Khelo India Sports Event for Special Kids, International Kite Festivals, Gujarat day celebrations, DGP Conference Cultural Evening, and Launch Event Road Show at Statue of Unity, 26th January Republic day State Level Celebration Flag Hosting Event Cultural Presentation or 15th August Independence day State Level Celebration Flag Hosting Event Cultural Presentations.
– Christmas Cultural Show designed especially for the Hon. President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind along with other invited dignitaries of Diu, Daman, and Dadranagar.
