Ankur Pathan has been fortunate to perform and work extensively on not just his home ground, but also international grounds. Awards and accolades soon came following when his sense of individuality towards dance came to the limelight. From the Asia Book of Records to Guinness World Records – there have been no dearth of recognitions. He was bestowed with ‘USTAD BISMILLAH KHAN YUVA KALAKAR PURASKAR’, a National Award by Sangeet- Natak Academy (Delhi), under the folk-art category.
He also went ahead to create a Guinness World Record of coordinating a performance of 4500 Dance Performers at a single platform, in Association with Youth and Culture Department of Gujarat Government, in 2010 – 2011. He also created a World Record of crafting a Maximum Number of Human Pyramids of Tribal Dance Performers with 4000 kids.
His Guinness World Record of Folk-Dance Presentation with 2000 Umbrellas at the International Tarnetar Fair, Thangadh, Attempted by Collector Office Surendranagar, and accommodating local school students, still holds a unique place in his memory and list of recognitions.
A 22 minutes flag hoisting performance with 2270 kids on various patriotic theme songs was noted by Asia Book of World Record and India Book of World Records, in association with the respective Collector Offices of Godhra (Gujarat) and Morbi. Although Ankur Pathan’s clientele has catapulted to a global brand, he still believes in remaining grounded, welcoming and dedicated to the highest level of service and instruction.
